Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you join our waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, and whether you identify as an accredited or non-accredited investor.
When you create an investor account and fund an investment, we also collect your account credentials (email and password) and bank account information through Plaid - see the section below for details on how that works.
We do not collect Social Security Numbers or government-issued ID at this time.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This data is aggregated and anonymized - we use it to improve the site, not to identify you personally. We also use cookies necessary for the site to function correctly.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Notify you when investment opportunities become available
- Communicate updates about Equitide and our properties
- Create and maintain your investor account
- Process investments, ACH transfers, and distributions
- Understand how people use our website so we can improve it
- Meet legal and regulatory requirements applicable to real estate securities offerings
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
How we share your information
We work with the following third-party services that may receive or process your personal data as part of operating the platform. Each is bound by its own privacy policy.
Plaid. We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. for two purposes: linking your bank account to fund investments, and verifying your identity (KYC) before you can invest. For KYC, Plaid collects and retains your government-issued photo ID and any biometric data on their own systems. See the dedicated section below for full details.
Supabase. Your investor account data - including your name, email, accreditation status, and investment records - is stored in our database hosted by Supabase. Supabase operates the database infrastructure on our behalf and is subject to its own security and privacy controls.
Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our website and investor portal are hosted on AWS servers. Transactional emails such as account confirmations and investment notifications are sent through AWS Simple Email Service. AWS processes data in transit and at rest as part of providing this infrastructure.
Mailchimp. Waitlist signups are stored and managed through Mailchimp, our email marketing provider. Mailchimp processes your name and email address on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy policy.
Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager. Anonymized site usage data is shared with Google Analytics as described above. Google Tag Manager manages analytics scripts on the site.
LinkedIn. We run advertising on LinkedIn and use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure ad performance. This tag may set a cookie on your browser. You can opt out through LinkedIn’s ad settings at linkedin.com/psettings/.
Legal and regulatory requirements. If you become an investor, certain transactions may be subject to mandatory reporting requirements under applicable law. For example, cash transactions over $10,000 may be required to be reported to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) under federal law. We will comply with all applicable legal and regulatory reporting obligations.
Bank linking via Plaid
To fund investments, Equitide uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to securely connect your bank account. When you link a bank account through our investor portal, you interact directly with Plaid’s interface. Plaid retrieves your bank account details on our behalf to enable ACH transfers into your Equitide investment account.
By linking your bank account, you agree to Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. Plaid may access and use your financial data as described in that policy. Equitide receives only the account and routing information necessary to process your investment transactions - we do not store your full bank credentials.

You may disconnect your bank account at any time by contacting us at meridian@equitide.io. Disconnecting your bank account does not affect any investments already in process.

You can also control cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or regulation.
Your rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. To make a request, contact us at meridian@equitide.io. We will respond within a reasonable time.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any CCPA rights, contact us at the address below.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our servers and database, and selecting third-party providers who maintain industry-standard security practices.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at meridian@equitide.io.
Children’s privacy
Equitide’s platform is intended for adults who meet applicable investor eligibility requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve, particularly as we expand investment offerings and additional regulatory requirements apply. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
